Trees are really, really green
Trees slow down climate change. For example, a single 30-meter-tall, mature tree can absorb as
much as 22.7 kilograms (50 pounds) of carbon dioxide through its leaves, in one year. That's roughly the same amount produced by an average car that's driven 41,500 kilometres!
TREES WITH IRISH ROOTS
If you go down to the woods today, you could be in for a big surprise. Well who would have guessed that the Scots Pine was native to Ireland? We've put together a tree bucket list to help you identify them when you're out and about.
